DESCRIPTION:Delphine Dora (FR) - bridges improvisation\, folk\, contemporary classical\, experimental and electroacoustic music.\nAlexandra Spence - acoustic instruments\, objects and electronics.\nLuke M de Zilva with Jacques Emery (double bass) and Mara Schwerdtfeger (viola) perform two long-form songs\, partly improvised\, partly prepared\, all acoustic and avant-folk-minimalist.\nAfter a few years of Surfacing being radio-mode only\, I’m very pleased to present the first international artist for November’s live concert.\nDelphine Dora (FR) has been one of my favourite musicians for many years. Also very exciting to have Delphine perform in Sydney for the first time after a number of collaborations with Alexandra Spence.\nAlexandra Spence is a truly special artist here in Sydney. Her music and performances are intricate and subtly surprising\, a beautiful creation of acoustic instruments\, objects and electronics\, fascinating to watch and hear evolve. I hold her in rarefied air as a solo artist equally with her other frequent collaborator Moss Hopkins (and their duo\, Banana). Alexandra’s album from last year\, …\n\nTickets: https://events.humanitix.com/surfacing-series-6-delphine-dora
