Hill Hall Egami // Irchins // Gillmond Wong UPRISING

Hill Hall Egami:

Hill Hall Egami returns for a second outing, continuing our exploration of the hidden sounds and textures our instruments can produce. These sounds lead us into an unpredictable journey of collective improvisation as a trio.

Gabriella Hill — soprano saxophone
Henry Hall — double bass
Mari Egami — prepared piano

Irchins:

Ben and Alex have improvised together in various contexts for the past 4 years. This is their second gig and features a band name! The music will probably be loud and contain a copious amount of riffage.

Ben Lopes - Guitar
Alex Tucker - Drums

Gillmond Wong UPRISING:

Gillmond Wong is the one true rival and interdimensionally sworn enemy of his own brother, Denmond Wong. While Denmond forged an illustrious career as a prolific and financially stable musician that toured across the Multiverse, the ever so bitter Gillmond was stuck teaching school children who didn’t practice whilst struggling to pay his rental and grocery expenses! And so, the vengeful (and starving) Gillmond sought revenge against his very own brother, whom he believed to have stolen his rightful and honourable career!

And so, Gillmond used his unique skillset as an interdimensional - scale hacker to program Denmond’s spaceship to “accidentally” enter a black hole. The plan was a success, although he quickly learnt that the disassociated souls of Denmond sought to reconstitute themselves and return to the greater multiverse! To prevent anything of the sort happening, Gillmond travelled to planet Earth in the form of the nefarious human, “Sam Gill”. There, he invented DNA - based, possession microchips, to possess and corrupt the souls of two of Denmond’s disassociated parts (Aidan Wong and Daniel Raymond, Jim narrowly escaped). And through the evil ritual of playing “music” together, the corrupted souls of Aidan and Daniel will eventually forget who they once were…

Aidan Wong - tenor saxophone
Sam Gill - alto saxophone
Daniel Raymond - drums
