Believe & Leo Marland Quartet

In the world of jazz, quartets hold a special place. Whereas trios are often orbit around a key soloist and bandleader, quartets hold a different gravity. Relationships between players are more diverse, the role of the foil becomes vital, and compositional or structural dynamics are revealed.

On this Thursday evening in Camperdown, two of Sydney’s key working quartets will present a night of new jazz, spontaneous music and in-the-moment invention. You are invited.
