Mara

Mara is a composer and curator based in Eora Sydney. She plays the viola and collaborates with her laptop to create live performances and recorded pieces for film, dance, and gallery spaces.

Following the release of her album At Every Corner, Mara returns to Pure Space with Air Leak / Loosening My Grip; a two-track offering that gently extends the world of her 2024 long-play. Across these compositions, Mara continues her intuitive practice of transforming everyday experiences into emotive sound.

With Air Leak / Loosening My Grip, Mara once again shows her gift for finding emotional depth inside simple recorded artifacts. These are intimate, immersive works that share the quiet beauty of things unfolding in their own time.
