Join artists Natasha Dubler, Caitlin Dubler, Niki Johnson and Sue Jo Wright for an afternoon of performance and conversation exploring materiality, sound, sensory perception and embodied experience.

Drawing on their interdisciplinary practices and their current works on display in 2026 NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) – The Edges of Cliffs Blur like Mist, and Community – the program considers how vibration, touch and visual expression shape the ways we experience and make meaning through the senses.

Taking place within the installation, experience a live performance of Shock Lines, by glass artist Caitlin Dubler, percussionist Niki Johnson and sound artist Natasha Dubler. Using percussion, live electronics and sampling, the artists reveal the distinctive sonic qualities of the glass and sandstone sculptures. Accompanying the work, Deaf artist Sue Jo Wright presents a live artistic response that explores sound through vibration, touch, gesture and visual expression, inviting audiences to consider more inclusive and embodied ways of experiencing sound.

Following the performance, the artists join moderator Zoe Theodore for a conversation reflecting on collaboration, their individual practices, and expanded approaches to sound, materiality and sensory experience.
