Alien Meal

Alien Meal is a new Drum+Bass duet project by Henry Hall and Tom Vogel, influenced by Lo-Fi production, American minimalism and 21st century electro-acoustic music.

Working with radiophonic forms, found percussion and experimental processing, Alien Meal will present material that navigates ambient texture walls, musique concrète collages and subtle electronic rustlings.

Murmurations

‘Murmurations’ is a new Sydney based band comprising of Sabine Tapia, Thomas Odell and Matt Simmonds. Emerging from close collaboration, the band combines the intricacies of the piano trio with sprawling original compositions.

Drawing from a wide range of musical influences including folk, improvised music and contemporary jazz, the band presents a multi-faceted approach to playing as an ensemble, emblematic of a fresh perspective of Australian jazz from a new generation of improvising musicians. The band recorded their debut album in late 2025 as a way of capturing the development of their trio sound. The trio’s playing takes a multi-directional approach, shaped by each member’s distinctive creative voice. The result is a unique concept of three streams of sound which interweave between textures, space and density while maintaining a sonic quality that is uniquely their own.
