Praised for his moving performances and luxurious tone, adventurous young Australian star violinist Harry Ward has been making his mark on the international stage in recent times, having just been appointed to the legendary Berlin Philharmonic.
For this moving recital in the intimate Utzon Room, he’s joined by Finnish pianist Noora Ylönen in a romantic recital of music by Beethoven, Shostakovich, Johann Joseph Vilsmayr, Australian composer Liza Lim — as well as a new work by Ward, composed with his brother Ben, who joins as a guest artist on double bass.
