Mind on Fire

Mind On Fire is a Sydney-based project formed by brothers Brad and Sam Gill. Since forming in 2017, they have developed a unique approach to blending improvisation and experimental composition, amassing a substantial body of work for duo and expanded formations with esteemed collaborating performers. For this performance, they’ll be appearing in duo format.

Since forming in 2017, Mind On Fire have released three albums and an EP of original compositions and improvisations, including their most recent release “Still, Vol. 2” (Radial Sounds, 2022). They also recorded a performance for Phoenix Central Park’s video series that was released in 2020.

szem

szem is the left-field electronic project of visual and sound artist Laura Hunt.

Combining hardware synthesis, electronic sampling, and percussive sculptures with cut-up vocals and poetry, Hunt creates ambient sonic environments, at times embedding secret messages that invite awareness of the unseen realms.
