Voyage Into Sound with three sets of improvised and experimental music at 21 Shepherd St, Marrickville.

Voyage Into Sound is an evening for listeners who are drawn to the character and possibilities of instruments pushed beyond convention. Across three improvised sets, artists explore piano, trumpet, gongs, winds, drums and double bass through expanded techniques, deep listening, and spontaneous collaboration. Expect shifting textures—delicate, resonant, percussive, and spacious—where sound is shaped in the moment and silence plays an equal role. From virtuosic solo piano to immersive ensemble interplay, each set reveals new approaches to familiar instruments, inviting curiosity and attentive listening in an intimate, exploratory setting in Marrickville.
