Jacques Emery is a double bassist and composer. He is an accomplished soloist and versatile collaborator in the Australian jazz, classical and experimental music scenes. A seasoned performer, Emery’s idiosyncratic approach to music reflects a voracious curiosity about different modes of music-making, from laptop production to contemporary classical composition to free improvisation to performance art. His acclaimed solo double bass EP ARCO was released on his own label People Sound in 2022.
