“Monday Night Confessions” is a weekly show presenting original jazz/improvised music. Run out of Church Street Studios in Camperdown, Sydney, we acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.

𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐨 (𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐮𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡): The Alister Spence Trio are very pleased to launch our eighth album ‘Gather.’ It’s our first trio album in seven years and we are thrilled with the results! Please come along and celebrate with us. The trio is: Alister Spence - piano, sampler, percussion/preparations Lloyd Swanton - double bass Toby Hall - drums, glockenspiel

For close to 30 years the trio have been performing nationally and internationally. Performances include Tokyo International Jazz Festival, Montreal and Vancouver International Jazz Festivals, Salisbury Festival (UK), Melbourne International Jazz Festival, and Vivid Festival (curated by Brian Eno). The trio have been finalists twice for an ARIA Award (Best Australian Jazz Album), and also an Art Music Award (2017). Their albums are regularly named in ‘Best of Lists’ in journals such as The Wire, Jazz Journal, New York City Jazz record.
