New Creatives Festival showcases the live outcomes of the subject Music Specialist Creative Projects featuring Bachelor of Music students in the final year of their degree.

SATURDAY 12 OCTOBER
12:00pm - Music Workshop CineMelodies: modern silent film integrating live classical instruments and electronic music.
1:00pm - Recital Hall East Atlas Ensemble: transatlantic tunes including Tango, Bossa Nova, Klezmer and the Blues.
2:00pm - Music Café Cloud Factory: Grimm Brothers’ tales woven into a magical blend of folk-pop-shoegaze.
3:30pm - Music Workshop Kitezh: improvised beats and dark ambient soundscapes featuring vocals, synths, theremin, brass and electronics.
4:30pm - Recital Hall East Calque: rhythms and textures with two drumsets, electric guitar and live electronics.
5:30pm - Music Cafe 4thstream: a jazz fusion group, exploring classical and D&B genres in a non traditional ensemble format.
7:00pm - Recital Hall East Trio of Four: Schubert reimagined for the unique chamber trio of violin, guitar and piano alongside a world premiere.
8:00pm - Music Workshop Time Has Legs by The Wednesday Group: a staged song-cycle on the anxieties of growing featuring voice, piano and electronics.
8:30pm - Music Café Echo Jars: a collection of contemporary songs exploring the raw emotions of stepping into adulthood and embracing uncertainty.
1:00pm–8:00pm - Foyer Convergence Gallery: photography exhibition accompanied by original music.
SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER
12:00pm - Music Café The Hullabaloonies’ Extravaganza: education and storytelling come together in whimsical country songs for the young and young at heart.
1:00pm - Music Workshop Storia Di Melodie: experience the magic of opera with a vibrant, touring music-drama designed to captivate young minds.
2:30pm - Music Café ConFusion: contemporary jazz fusion that celebrates each ensemble members’ unique compositional and improvisational approach.
4:00pm - Recital Hall East Butter and Jam Sessions: contemporary and classical vocals exploring belonging, nostalgia, and growing up, through music and film.
5:00pm - Music Café The Dissonant Orchestra: a launch party for a new video game in which a conductor tries to unite an orchestra lost to time.
6:00pm - Music Workshop OFF LIMITS by Spring Mountain: classical music and electronics paired with footage of natural landscapes in a premiere work.
1:00pm–7:00pm - Foyer Convergence Gallery: photography exhibition accompanied by original music.
