Max Petersen, a German-Australian composer-pianist based in Switzerland, blends modern jazz with contemporary Western art music, as heard in his album LiberA (2021). Drummer Chloe Kim, known for her solo performances and collaborations with legendary musicians, is a versatile artist in Australia. Jacques Emery, a key figure in Sydney’s music scene, brings his talent to jazz, improvised, experimental, and electronic music as a double bassist, percussionist, and composer. This September, Max, Chloe, and Jacques will premiere an exciting trio work in Sydney, combining their compositions and improvisations, with the ambition of establishing it as a ground-breaking, ongoing project.
