New Atlantis

Immerse yourself in New Atlantis, a festival of new and experimental sound.

Live modular synthesis, 8-channel soundscapes, AI artworks, modular synth performances, sonic sculptures, VR-driven music, and more. The event is co-curated by UNSW Sonic Arts and Vitalise Sydney and will include many live electronic acts.

There will be two performances spaces. One with a more traditional stereo PA system, the other with an OCTOPHONIC PA!! Eight speakers set up in a cube!

The event starts at 3pm with a showcase of performances from students of the Sonic Arts program an UNSW. There is a some pretty wild stuff happening here involving prepared piano, Buchla music easels, eurorack modular synth, VR experiences, sound sculptures, theremins and much more. This is happening in the octophonic space.

Then from 5-ish both rooms with have performances from the likes of:
