Suddenly you are there by Kate Brown
Opening 6-8pm with vocal performance across Parramatta rd at 7:15pm
Suddenly you are there is a performance exhibition by Kate Brown that incorporates graphic notation, text, installation and a vocal performance placing the sounding body across Parramatta rd. Being informed/ Being in formation: a conversation across traffic. When there is no sound there are places in the imagination that fill it up. Like a highway landscape roaring with the volume turned down.
Herds along a highway, an interaction across a table of unrelenting flow, what’s the connection? Speaking above a crowd and weaving between a sonic cacophony. The ricochet effects of these happenings is documented, processed and turned right back up.
15th Dec- 1-4pm Closing: Panel with Joyce Hinterding and David Haines discussing distance/time and mapping space. Kate Brown vocal performance with accompaniment by Romy Caen and Solly Frank ‘Performing the graphic notation’ in the gallery.
