SCHEME (Sydney City Humanoid Electronic Modular Ensemble) is an improvisational collective of electronic instruments and accompanying humans, aimed to explore synergy and conflict between human and machine, planned and chaotic, acoustic and electronic.

We are excited to present a unique collaboration between an electronic ensemble and UNSW Balinese Gamelan Ensemble.

We employ different improvisational strategies and collaborate with acoustic instruments such as trumpet, euphonium, and guitar . Range of our equipment includes synthesizers, radios, microphones etc.

An interactive projection of real-time generated and pre-recorded video fragments creates an immersive experience for the audience.

A result is a space travel to a universe of amalgamated unheard sounds, textures, and visuals.

New Sound Waves Records represents underground electronic visual artists and musicians working with modular synths, to produce techno, ambient and experimental music.
