Improper Citation was formed in 2016 after discovering common interest in jazz-influenced experimental improvisations, as well as the sounds and textures from diverse musical traditions and rhythms. Improper Citation has been an emerging ensemble in Sydney, performed at Hibernian House series, ConVerge with a featured artist, bassist/improviser, Clayton Thomas in 2017 and Johnson Street Jazz series in 2018.  At this Hibernian House series, Improper Citation will present their unique, strong, free group-improvisations.
