Number 11 in the resurrected series of improvised, experimental or just plain weird yet beautiful music nights. Our plan is to mix up the acoustic with the electric, the subtle with the bombastic.

Matthew Syres https://matthewsyres.bandcamp.com/ Founding member of Sydney group Forenzics, Matthew has an eccentric and unusual approach to the guitar, using multiple effects, delays and looping to build complex improvised sonic textures informed by noise, post-rock, industrial and soundscape music.

Alon Ilsar https://alonilsar.com/drumonair/ Alon Ilsar is an Australian drummer, composer, sound designer and instrument designer. He is co-designer of a new interface for electronic percussionists called the AirSticks, using the instrument in projects such as The Hour, The Sticks, Tuka (from Thundamentals), Kirin J Callinan, Kind of Silence (UK), Velize (US), Cephalon (US), Aether (US), Voyager (US), Bondi Dreaming, Silent Spring, Drumonair, Monotreme (US) andBrian Campeau.

Jim Denley and Adam Pultz Melbye https://soundcloud.com/jim-denley http://www.adampultz.com/ Jim Denley, one of Australia’s seminal musicians meets Berlin-based Danish double bass explorer Adam Pultz Melbye in a duo of textural investigations.

Denley has been at the forefront of experimental music since the 80’s and continues to explore the boundaries between music, radio, text and nature through solo performances and in collaborations with key Australian and international improvisors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xVizMBnd5w

Melbye recently released the solo album Measures on Noema. He has toured Europe, Japan and the US as a soloist, with Julia Reidy in Tennis of All Kinds and the groups Flamingo and SAP, is a frequent collaborator with dancers and writes and records music for film and other media.https://vimeo.com/193269019
